Good training. A clear plan.
Your next chapter starts here.
Why it works
Programs written by a college strength coach, set from your numbers and built around your season, with a coach who can see how you lift.
| Training feature | A generic gym program | Frazier Performance |
|---|---|---|
| Who it is built for | Built for anyone who walks in | Built for athletes: strength, speed and power that carry over to your sport |
| Training weights | Percentages you have to do the math on | The exact weight for every set, from your maxes |
| Your season | The same plan all year | Programs for your sport and your time of year |
| Feedback | Nobody watching your lifts | Send Coach Frazier a video and get notes back |
| Individual training | One plan for every athlete | On 1-on-1, training written around your sport and schedule |

THE PERSON BEHIND YOUR PLAN.YOUR COACH
Harvard Director of Strength & Conditioning
James Frazier has run strength and conditioning at Harvard for 17 years. Now his programs are in the APEX app, built for high school and college athletes in any sport.
James Frazier became Harvard's Director of Strength and Conditioning in 2009. He oversees training across Harvard's varsity teams and works directly with football, volleyball, golf and tennis.
He came to Harvard from the University of Iowa, where he spent two seasons with the Hawkeyes' football program, after starting out as a strength and conditioning intern with the Chicago Bulls. He holds a master's in administration from Central Michigan.
Before coaching, he played football at Brown: a four-year letterman, first-team all-conference at defensive end and again at linebacker, and captain of a 9–1 team as a senior.
Harvard named him its James Herscot '58 Coach of Excellence for 2021–22, for how he and his staff led athletes through the pandemic.

Yes. Under 18? A parent or guardian checks out and completes the purchase agreement for the athlete.
Each plan shows whether it bills monthly, yearly or once. Review the price, renewal terms and cancellation details at checkout before paying.
There are programs for football, basketball, hockey, wrestling, lacrosse, soccer, baseball and golf, plus Lifting Foundations for anyone new to the weight room. On 1-on-1, Coach Frazier writes your training around your sport and position.
With Lifting Foundations. It teaches the main lifts with bodyweight and dumbbells first and adds weight as technique holds up. On Coached and 1-on-1, Coach Frazier checks their form on video.
Yes. You pick your training days and a start date, and your plan slides forward if you miss a session. On 1-on-1, Coach Frazier writes your training around your actual schedule.
Each program lists what it needs. Lifting Foundations works with dumbbells and bands; the strength programs need a gym with a barbell and a trap bar.
You enter your current maxes when you start. The app sets every weight from them and keeps your maxes up to date from the sets you log.
Film a lift on your phone and send it in the app. Coach Frazier draws on the video, talks you through it and sends notes on what to fix before your next session. Coached and 1-on-1 include four a month.
On Coached, you follow the programs and send Coach Frazier your lifts. On 1-on-1, he writes and adjusts your training around your sport, goals and schedule, and checks in with you every month.
If your team uses APEX, turn on sharing in the app and your coach sees your lifts and maxes. You choose what each coach sees and can turn it off anytime.
